Santa Monica - California

Santa Monica is a beach city located west of Beverly Hills, and is a favorite town for the young and upcoming. The community is pretty and well tended, and popular with professionals. Featuring a spiffed-up downtown area, restaurants, festivals, and linear park on the bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, you'll see a lot of people out in the sun having fun. The area has a population of 90,262.

Santa Monica is renowned for its schools, and in fact has one of the finest districts in the Los Angeles area. When young parents are trying to find schools for their children, Michael invariably steers them toward Santa Monica. This area is also known for its shopping, from Main street to Montana avenue, and its close proximity to the beach. It is one of the most popular spots on the Westside for biking, jogging, and of course "climbing the stairs"--its famous rank of wooden stairs.

Santa Monica is probably the most famous beach city in the county. It has a fishing pier, three miles of beach, a popular promenade, a built-up downtown, and frequently appears in movies. Loaded with amussements and situated a short distance from the movie and entertainment industries, Santa Monica has an enviable base of information technologies firms.
